Welcome to the 2007 Exhibition.

The following pages should give you some information about the exhibition that we have organised again this year.  This will be our 40th Annual Exhibition and will be held again at the Colchester Institute on the 3rd and 4th November.  Opening times are 10.00 - 17.00 on Saturday and 10.00 - 16.30 on Sunday.

The maps included on the club web site should help you with directions from various parts of the country and also help you with parking, and the entrance at Colchester Institute.  The entrance for the exhibition is directly from the Eastgate car park.  The Institute’s rebuilding program has started so the other car parks on the site will not be available for use.

Disabled parking is in the Eastgate car park, although if we are informed beforehand we can make arrangements for even closer parking for Blue/Orange Badge holders. The exhibition is mainly on one level, where there is a difference in levels then there is a wheelchair/disabled lift for this section, and there will be stewards available in the area to help operate the chairlift.

During both days light refreshments at reasonable prices are available from the Refectory, please see exhibition guide for opening times.

Safety is of paramount importance to us and with this in mind we have FACETS the first aid group with us on both days and patrolling the arena, also most senior stewards have radios and are able to summon help quickly in an emergency.  Most of the layouts will have steel barriers in front of them; these are strong enough to support a child if used carefully.

Apart from the many layouts we will have a number of demonstrators who will be only too delighted to talk to you and show how to produce your own models for your model railway.  We hope to have our usual full trade support ranging from local traders to specialist traders.

This web site will be updated as the information becomes available
